With Sophia happily attending school at the newly reformed Tempest Hollow, I was content to know that not only was my daughter in a healthy environment, but she was thriving. No longer was she the odd one out, though her abilities are unique, most everyone at Tempest Hollow held some sort of magic. Be it in shapeshifting, lycanthropy of differing forms, or in other areas altogether. I was delighted to know she'd made friends with many Loup Garou near her own age. In fact, it was the Loup Garou who took over Tempest Hollow and reformed it from a strange testing ground to the school it was today. The clan had also invited us to visit their Luna, or home. I was left with quite a bit of spare time, and due to the status of the economy, I was forced to leave my job at the animal clinic. However, it had been broached that I may perhaps gain employment at Temptest Hollow. I'd speak more with Stryker on it when time permitted for us to meet, and would of course discuss it all with Sophia before I invaded her school life.
But for today, I delighted in using my magic in all it's glory. Our pets well fed, I stepped outside to watch a couple swallows in flight near the edge of our property. Smiling to myself I let my magic take over and soon was air born as a swallow myself. My small, feathered body rode the air currents with ease, and my wings beat soundlessly, lifting me ever higher. I sang out my pleasure to the other swallows, thanking them for the use of their form. Turning away from the city, I glided over the forest searching for a spot to dive down. Flying was thristy work, and a spring bubbled deep within the forest glen. The soft trickling of water grew in intensity as I floated closer to the earthen floor. Soon enough my feet grasped the side of a boulder, and from there I hopped down to the grass and edged nearer the stream. I sensed no predators, though after dipping my head in the stream, it became clear one was approaching.
I took my place back on the boulder and kept a wary eye. Most animals could sense my presence as well, and knew that even though I may be in the form of their prey, prey I was not. I was in no danger from the serpent that slithered into view. I chittered softly to the corn snake as it passed me on, looking not for a meal, but for a drink. With a little concentration, I released my swallow form and took that of a corn snake. Reds and oranges decorated my scales in brilliant patterns as the sun warmed both the boulder I coiled upon and myself. The corn snake and I exchanged a brief nod as it left the stream on the trail of a field mouse. I silently wished him well in his hunt.
As I sunned myself, it dawned on me that I was not far from Thronos Rokke Lupanar, the gathering place of another clan of werewolves. The legendary rock throne that the Lupanar took it's name from was told to be a massive sight, and one that quite peeked my curiosity. Sliding down the rough boulder, I slunk along the grass and weeds toward the thick, heady smell of wolf. The subtle differences between wolf, werewolf or lycan, and Loup Garou were easy enough for my delicate nose to detect, even when my scent glands were located in my mouth instead. Though I passed the scent of natural wolves, I was not surprised, as often times a wolf will find a form of comfort and familiarity with lycans that share it's form. But I was taken by surprise, however, to catch the scent of a Loup Garou. I was not near their Luna, and I hadn't heard of the Thronos Rokke Clan and the Loup Garou's being familiar with one another. After all, their tribes were quite different, and their meeting places were nowhere near one another. Curiousity peeked even more so, I slithered along beneath the dense brush, my tongue darting from my mouth every few inches to catch the tingling scent of Loup Garou.

"Enough!" I snapped, vocals carrying nothing but irritation and annoyance at the hands that tried steadying my frame while we walked through the lands, blinding white eyes turned to face each when even though, even though I couldn't exactly see them, but I knew without a doubt they were there. Feeling their emotions wash through the air, striking upon the breeze, my body shook with silent anger, body turning around until my back faced them, hands folded across my chest digging tightly into my flesh. There was shame, and a sheepish feeling to the wolves around me, and even though I was thankful for their help, this was not the time to be coddling me. I was not helpless even though I was mostly blind, an accident when I was younger left me without sight, yet I managed, not without too much help. In that regards, my dominance showed, outshining the weakness that others could perceive. In annoyance though, sight seemed to flare, giving me tidbits on the world. Extreme emotions did that.
Nyta, bless her heart, was going to keep working on a spell or ritual to help bring my sight back, though it was taking a long time, not that it bothered me. There were complications needed to be assessed, figure out the true extent of the damage and all that. I didn't begrudge Nyta for that. Life went on, if she could find something, great. If not, well I'd live most of my life without seeing, relying on empathy and my other senses to keep me going, it wasn't going to hurt. Stalking from the clan, I shifted effortlessly into my wolf form, snowy white with light, almost faded reds and stormy colors. I heard it was, quite a sight to see, as I reflected with bitterness, I couldn't see my own pelt. Shaking the magick that flowed over my skin and flesh, tingling right down into the nerves, I bounded forwards, paws gliding over the earth. At least I had little sight within the wolf form. Not enough to see properly, but, a taster.
Running was freedom, wind rustled through my odd pelt, colors flicking, merging together as the ends stuck up to dance with the wind coursing through the earth. I'd run this path many times, over the last, many years, it was familiar against my paws, my senses didn't have to tune in to the surroundings blowing past in a near blur. Reaching the Thronos, I inhaled deeply, chest rising and falling while my head tilted upwards, squinting as if I could just make out the birds flying against the backdrop of the sky. I didn't want to howl and frighten them, so I kept quite, laying down upon my paws for a bit of relaxation, and to calm my tempered thoughts. I felt bad for snapping at those in the clan, they were only trying to help, I thought breathing past my lips, tickling the softer fur around my muzzle. More magick seemed to be in the air, different from the normal, Thronos scent, and lifting my muzzle up, I spoke through the telepathy mind link. "I know you are there. But I am not sure what exactly you are. Shifter, were, please explain." I would have said please let me see, but, I couldn't see could I?

I felt the vibrations of her paws striking the ground all through my serpentine body. The scent I picked up was female and Loup Garou for certain, but it was not one I'd yet met. We were marked as friends of the clan, Sophia and I both, so I knew I was in no danger from this stranger. As I crawled closer to the Thornos Rokke Lupanar's boundaries, I heard her call out with her mind. Though I'd become accustomed to their telepathic speech when in wolf form, and was able to communicate back, it was still startling.
"I am a shifter, able to change shape at will to that of whatever animal I last see or touch, or through the use of totems. My name is Angelina, I am a friend of the Loup Garou. My daughter, Sophia Gregori has befriended your clan and attends Tempest Hollow."
As I replied to her with my thoughts, I slithered closer still, until at last I could see her as I lifted my scaled head. Her colors were stunning to behold, a pattern and blend I'd never before seen on any wolf or lycan. But her eyes, they were so pale, I figured she must be at least partially blind. Thank goodness for the extraordinary senses of lycanthropy.
"Don't be afraid, I'm in the form of a snake currently." I was slowly gliding over her paws, my tongue darting out to taste her scent more cleanly, up close.
"You have the most elegant coloring I've ever seen." I longed to see it with human eyes, and so I slide back off her paws and shifted back to my human form. "Quite better." I sighed, running my hands down my clothing to smooth out the wrinkles. "May I ask your name, Loup Garou?" I sat beside the gorgeous wolf, crossing my legs as I looked out over the Lupanar. The place was breath-taking, and the Throne Rock, for which the Lupanar was named, was indeed a sight to behold. I absently reached out and stroked the Loup Garou beside me, before stopping myself an apologizing. "Do forgive my abruptness. I should have asked before petting you. I'm simply so used to touching animals I come in contact with, it's habit." I smiled sheepishly and wondered if she could see. "Again, forgive me for asking, but what befell you? Your sight, it seems impaired, though you show no signs at all of being actually impaired." I felt like a blundering fool. What was wrong with me today? Was my recent idleness corrupting my thought patterns? Perhaps I needed a hobby or something to busy myself with, or risk losing my intellect slowly over time.

So the magick beholding the creature, female for that was what the scent brought forward when I sniffed the air again, the female scent strong, clean, once she spoke, detailing what exactly is was that made her different from humans, I took a sharp, sudden intake of breath that ached and tore at my lungs. Wanting to jump to my paws to find the shifter, shape shifter, it was apparent that I wouldn't be able to do much except follow the magick. Sadly, I kept still, making sure I didn't accidentally crush or hurt the shifter, for I did not know what form she was in. "Angelina, I have heard of both you and your daughter. A friend of the clan is most certainly a friend of mine. Stryker will be delighted at having a shape-shifter, then again, shes delighted about all who attend the new Tempest Hollow." Stryker and the others certainly made the Hollow a great place to be, even now after so much horror, some of the kids actually went back, knowing it was safe, knowing there would be no more abuse.
I meant all my words. Stryker loved seeing others flourish with whatever special ability they had, whether it was shape-shifting, normal shifting, magick use, I envied them slightly, for at least they were probably having fun and learning. "Wait, your a-" I spoke moments before Angelina did, confirming what I was about to speak, chuckling low deeply within my throat that sounded more like a coarse growling sound. My wolfy features couldn't exactly make normal facial expressions, so I arranged my eyes in what I hoped would be a nonthreatening look, and apologizing for the growly sound. "I was chuckling then, and I'm not afraid. The magick that surrounds you, is strong. I can smell it." It was comforting, like a security blanket, for it help stir and invoke the ancient magicks within me. We were different yes, but we still shared one thing deeply. Shifting. Didn't matter she had many forms and I had one, deep down, that was connection.
"Thank you. I wish, I could see it better than when I was younger." No bitterness, just the simple truth, and when the shifter changed back to human, I squinted, trying to see. I could call upon some strange ritual so when I touched her I could see through her eyes, and sometimes, bounce back like a mirror, something Nyta taught me in case I began losing myself. But to do that would mean invading part of her mind, part of my soul connected with hers for a span of seconds. I didn't want to invade her privacy like that. "My name is Alison, but most call me Athena, for that is my middle name." I shrugged my great, wolf shoulders, fur rippling in the light, ear cocking sideways as a deep and calming sensation stole over me, wrapping my senses all in warmth. It was then I realized she was petting my fur. "It is fine Angelina, do not apologize. Some may shy away, but most of us Loup Garou's like being close, having the clan pet you and keep close, gives us a sense of security and we like it."
I stood straighter, as tall as my form would allow, blinking sharply to find her voice. It wasn't like I took offense, I just wondered if I should shift back and talk or keep the link open. Shifting back seemed like the greater idea, so I felt the pull, my limbs changing shape, tail departing, ears rounded, muzzle pulling back inwards. "Years ago, and don't be sorry, its natural to be curious, I was involved in an accident. I don't remember much, all I remember is one moment I could see, the next, most of it was gone." I turned to face her, following her voice like a trail which helped, along with her current emotions. "I can, see slightly, if I really try. My other senses are all much greater, and I can feel emotions, it acts like sight anyway. Though, not as great." I paused. "Nyta is trying to find a way to restore my vision, without me having to use a ritual to gleam a few moments of sight." I didn't want to elaborate, not wanting to go down that road unless Angelina asked. I didn't want to have her feel like anything was being forced or that she had to do something.

I grinned, proudly. "That makes me feel so wonderful, to know that you know of us. We've learned quite a bit about your clan and your way of life. I find it all utterly fascinating. Sophia and I come from a long line of female shifters, an ancient magick passed from mother to daughter, following the Gregori name. We are honored to be friends to the great Loup Garou." Something about the magick that made Sophia and I what we were, and the gypsy magick of the Loup Garou gave us a unique sort of bond. We were all tied closely to nature's kingdom and the world of magick, which to us, was inseperable.
"Its a pleasure to meet you Alison. Athena! What a strong & beautiful name to bare! I am so very sorry to hear about the accident." I felt oddly out of place for the moment. What can you say to someone who's suffered such a loss that doesn't sound like pity? I had no reason to pity her, she was a beautiful wolf, with the magick of the Loup Garou. Sighted or not, she was special. She didn't deserve pity for something out of her control. "I've heard wonderful things about Nyta. She's a reknown healer and wise woman. A shaman, or medicine woman of sorts. Surely she'll be able to impliment something to aid you in regaining your sight."
The sounds of birds twittering in the trees overhead provided us with a melodic sound in the background. Nature's music had always by far been a favorite of mine. I breathed deeply of the forest air, and marveled at the sights around us. "This is my first time visiting the Thronos Rokke Lupanar. All that I've heard tell is true. The Throne Rock is absolutely amazing." I was gazing in awe at the large stone throne, before I realized Alison couldn't see it. But perhaps.... "You said that you can see slightly? Is there something I can do to help you see better? I'd love to share the sight of this place with you." I reached out and clasped her hand, smiling. Since she was unable to truly see my smile, I tried to radiate happiness through my very being, so that she could sense it.
"To think, King's Pointe in your Luna, and the Throne Rock here in the Lupanar. There is so much magick in these places." I had feared when coming to the States with Sophia as an infant, that the New World would not be so steeped in magick as the Old World. How wrong I had been. For centuries, those of the Old Ways had migrated here and brought with them their magick. And of course, the land had a magick all it's own. "Both places are esteemed, and regarded with near royal status. I've yet to visit the Luna, but I've heard about King's Pointe, where your ceremonies take place. Sophia and I have been invited. I suppose we should make the journey soon. The Loup Garou have been especially kind to us, and we are thankful." Had it not been for Tempest Hollow and the Loup Garou who ran it now, Sophia and I may have had to pick up and move, simply to find another school for her, one that was suitable. Never had I imagined a place like Tempest Hollow existed. They were understanding of our plights, and knew well how to deal with those outside of society's view of normalcy. "With my magick and your brand of magick from the Loup Garou, I would share my vision with you, so that we may both see the wonder of the Thronos Rokke Lupanar." I laced my fingers with hers and called upon my will, focusing a change to manifest, though not in way of my changing forms. Instead, for a wholly new purpose. To help Alison see, even if only for a short time.

I smiled, just a flick of my upper lip, though all the happiness and joy was found in that movement, that feeling. When people knew about you, that could be both a blessing and a curse. Except when it came to packs and clans, it was best and to know, it was more than what you could imagine. "You should stay for a few of the rituals and the like, you'll never forget." I smiled warmly, listening to what she had to say and my mouth dropped open slightly for what I was hearing. I was not a child, not even a teenager, but older than that. And I'd never heard of such a shifter like that before. It was, cool and simply amazing. I was glad to learn a little bit about her side. "That is, awesome. Amazing." My pure white eyes were wider than before. "I take it the males do not have the shifting ability?" I chuckled slightly, amused by it all. Like I said before, we were connected. "And I know I can say this without Cole breathing down my neck." I grinned. "We too, are honored in being friends with the Gregori's. Whatever you need, you are always welcome."
I tilted my head, listening to the sounds of nature around us, from the stream rolling in the distance to the birds tweeting, the insects communicating with one another. "The pleasure is all mine. My mother named me." I trailed off, staring, quite literally, into space since there wasn't anything else for me to see. "I am sorry too. But, things happen for a reason I suppose." Without the clan, I would have been lost without any hope. "She is. The most wisest of us all. She taught Mick everything he knows, without her, it wouldn't be the same." I wondered how much I should say, then realized I could speak without mutiny or anything like that. "She is, still trying. There is so many things we must be careful, taking time to work on it. If one thing goes wrong, I could end up worse." I had learned from that to be very patient, even when I was continually frustrated. I didn't even blame Nyta, for I'd be the same. Correction, I am the same.
"You should come here more often. I, am no threat, so I've been granted passage, even when they are here. Though, I don't see the other clan much, no pun intended. It's amazing and very calming to the soul." I would have gone to King's Pointe, but, I didn't know that area as well, having run this path since I could see. A friend of mine was part of the Thronos clan before she died. Biting my lip, I felt the hand around mine, feeling the complete radiance, knowing she was smiling. That put me at ease, if only slightly. "There is, but, its, more intimate. My soul will be near yours." It worked better with shifters and were's than normal humans for the fact we were more closely linked. I did nod my head in agreement. Magick permeated everything, more deeper than what could meet the eye. Awe-inspiring if you asked me. "Well, there is a ceremony coming up. The birth of Stryker and Midian's twins, so, you should come. You'll never regret it."
"As long as you never become an enemy of us, you will always be a friend. Even down the line, your family will be welcome." I could imagine seeing(ha-freaking-ha) Cole and hearing the same words. It was mainly because he'd said the same to a few others. "I, as much as I'd like that, we would be linked deeper, connected more to the core." Like a imprinted pair, except our souls would be joined before it was ended. There wasn't much harm except we would be privy to each others thoughts, it wasn't like she could steal my body and vice versa. The ritual wouldn't allow that, nor would the magick and the munin. As far as things went, it was pretty safe, I think one reason why Nyta told me so I wouldn't be able to switch bodies or anything. Not that I would. "You may be, different after the experience. I don't want to force it upon you." I gasped slightly, her fingers laced with mine, as my vision, not of my magick but hers, flickering, vision brighter than darker, all shifting, not staying as one thing. I was surprised, she had her own little piece. Her desire to help could easily set off something like this.

"So I've surmised. Once, the Gregori's depended on grand ritual as well, to harness and access their powers of shape shifting. But over the generations, it became unnessecary to delve so deeply into ritual. We see or touch the animal, and can become it. If I had a bit of your fur, I would be able to change at will into a wolf much resembling you. Though I would love to be a part of a ritual, I've never needed it for changing forms. I am quite sure I speak for Sophia as well when I say that we'd both be estatic to witness such secrets within your Luna." I smiled once more. "Twins you say?! Well, they'll certainly be in for a time!" I chuckled. "Twice the work and twice the rewards." My smile brightened. "We'd love to be present for the ceremony."
I listened intently to Athena speak about Nyta and the clan, as well as how she'd been granted passage through the Thronos Rokke's territory. I listened all the more carefully as she explained about the magick that would need to be worked for her to be able to see for a time. "I am willing, more than willing in fact. The Loup Garou have been beyond kind to us, and the Gregori's will forever be in your debt. I would like nothing more that to give you the gift of sight for a short time. It is the least I can do. It is truly a heart felt offer on my behalf. I have no fear of being so closely linked with you, and I mean no harm. Nor, I suspect, do you." I laughed once more, then continued to speak. "You're not at all forcing me, dear. And I willingly accept whatever differences may occur within me from this process. After all, life is about growth and change." I gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
She gasped, blinking rapidly a few times, and I knew that somehow my magick must be touching her. It was working, and I had only begun half of the process by focusing on my will with the intent to grant her sight. And to think, I had no prior knowledge of this ability! Surely it would not work with everyone, and it must come with being in tune with the guiding force of the Loup Garou's magick. Since meeting Stryker, and being heralded as a friend to the clan, I'd been able to feel there magick strongly, as well as being able to communicate telepathically when in an animal form. Something I'd not been able to do previously. "If you are willing, dearest Athena, I am as well."
As if in response to the magicks we were raising, the forest dwelling creatures stirred to life, many entering the clearing of the Thronos Rokke Lupanar. Deer and elk, even natural wolves crept into the circular clearing. Birds of all shapes and sizes soared to perch on tree branches or the Throne Rock itself. Butterflies and dragonflies danced overhead. The wind brought the sweet smell of the fresh, open air on it's breezes. Squirrels and chipmonks, rabbits and marmits, a weasel, a fox, and a mountain lion, all stole through the forest trees to sit within the circle. The magick of nature and the essence of being, animal spirits & energy, called to the beasts of the woods, and beckoned them near. I breathed in sharply. "Athena, the whole of the forest is gathering here!" I whispered softly, my eyes closed as I concentrated on focusing my magick and remaining open to hers. I prayed silently that this would work, for already it seemed a minor miracle was taking place and many of the forest creatures were here to bare witness.

"That makes sense. Sometimes the magick itself becomes stronger, not weaker." My eyes widened as I listened, Nyta and the others would be enjoying such information, learning about others so they could understand more about the shape shifters, for good not for harm. We didn't like hurting others, not unless it was damn right needed, such as hunters killing us, then we would fight to defend. We hated it, killing, but sometimes there was no other choice. "You should, then we could run together, both as wolves!" I was excited, it was showing upon my face, to run was freedom, to run with another lit me up like a kid on Christmas. "Hehe, you should have seen Midian, I've never seen the guy so shocked, happy, amazed and overjoyed. Like a little boy when he realized him and Stryker were having twins." Of course, he made damn sure Arya didn't feel left out, she, in all our eyes, was his daughter too. They were such a happy and cute family.
"If you do this, it'll be I that will be forever in your debt." I whispered, squeezing her hand, flashes of visions within my own eyes, mostly shapes and colors. "You are right. I don't mean any harm." I stopped talking, wondering the true extent of the consequences after. It could be nothing, I could end up falling in love being so closely linked, we could forge a bond deeper than life itself, friendship, who knew unless we tried? I'd said all I could upon that, and if she was still willing, then wasn't it worth a try? Even for a few moments, sharing something like this? "You may, end up with a deeper knowledge of who I am. You will know me better than anyone else. Since I know you mean no harm, then I don't really have many objections." I spoke carefully, trying to make sure no stone was overturned, so to speak, biting my tongue with my own moral dilemma. Then again, if Nyta thought this was such a bad thing, she wouldn't have given me this information. It was rare for something such as love to come from it, even if the minds were linked. Friendships however, were forged for life.
"I am. Willing." Closing my eyes, I began to breathe deeper, and calming, whispering the words over in my head, speaking it softly upon my tongue, air passing through my lips as I spoke, calling upon both our special magicks, different yet the same, as an unnatural wind began whispering around out bodies. I could feel the softness touching my skin, playing and dancing with my hair. I smiled, feeling my eyes burn with such brightness, an intensity that didn't hurt, but more tickled than anything, slowly opening my eyes when I heard the forest beginning to stir along, paw steps, heart beats, I was able to hear, bringing a soft smile upon my features. "I hear them." I whispered, allowing the magicks to finish swirling around, my vision acting as if a shadow had been lifted, shutting my eyes with the bright lights and colors, scared of being blinded again. Everything was so much brighter! I squeezed Angelina's hand again, and that was when I felt it.
My mind connected with hers, a delayed reaction for the sight seeing itself, her mind was warm, there was nothing there to suggest she was evil, I could see her, at the same time I could see myself. A mirror like reflection. I could see from my own eyes, and hers at the same time, because she was a shifter, I'd imagined that helped with the double seeing, to me it didn't feel anything but natural. I didn't even care, with her mind beside mine, linked more deeper, near the core, I felt her heart beating along with my own. "I can. See!" I was delighted, staring about with my own eyes(we may be connected but I wasn't controlling Angelina, I was still in my own body, the magicks fueled by hers. Confusing huh?). Colors! Shapes defined into something that I could say instead of blurry blobs. I tentatively reached out to the mountain lion, feeling his fur beneath the tips of my fingers. "Thank you." So many emotions, I was drinking in the sights for as long as I could, my thanks to Angelina, to the animals, to the magicks and the munin.

The forest had come alive for us. As her eyes slipped closed I felt the magick stirring. The combined effort and energies were almost indescribable. They were potent, as if embedded in the very air that swirled around us. The wind was more than wind, it was the first time I felt the flicker of the munin. "I can feel the Munin, all your ancestors!" I'd never felt such powerful magick, let alone been a part of it. I could hardly wait to tell Sophia. I must share this with my daughter, so that she too could learn what I'd learned today. Our hearts beat in unison and suddenly I was a part of Athena, and she was a part of me. It was as if we both occupied 2 bodies, 2 minds. Our minds and spirits were linked. I could see through her eyes, and as she blinked, her eyes adjusting to the sudden new sight, I saw they were the same color as my eyes. It was as if I'd given her my own eyes. I saw things from both her perspective and mine. It was a touch unsettling, the double vision, but it was also incredibly exciting.
"I see as you see, Athena. This is astounding!" My lips split into a huge grin as I tossed my head back and laughed with sheer joy. I could feel Athena's heart, the core of who she is. She was strong, resiliant, smart, and caring. I knew at the same time, she saw me for all I was. She had access to my deepest innermost thoughts, as I did to hers, but neither of us tread into those deep reaches. However, her surface thoughts were read as easily as if they were my own. I shared her joy as she marveled at the sights. The brilliant greens of the landscape, the blue of the sky with it's white, puffy clouds. The animals, in all their colors, that surrounded us. A few braved our presence and crept closer on paw or hoof. A gentle deer approached from my right, bowing it's head to nudge against my ribs. I laughed aloud and reached to stroke the fawn. At the same time, the mountain lion had strode proudly to Athena's side, and was now rolling on the ground in exstacy as she rubbed the large cat's belly, generating a deep purr.
"I've never felt so alive!" The smaller animals came closer too, each vying for a touch from either of us, all of them coming to share in the magickal joy of the moment. A blue jay perched on Athena's shoulder, a raven suddenly landed atop my head, causing my laughter to once more ripple through the clearing. Animals, both predator and prey, that would scarely ever be in the same vacinity, were brought together in peaceful harmony, just as Athena and I were joined. She was indeed a beautiful being, inside and out. I was glad to have done this, and part of me wished the sensations would never end. She knew how I felt, for she felt it as I did. It was surprisingly easy to know whose emotions were whose, even being so closely linked. It was beyond intimate, and I was secure being so bonded with her.
My gaze traveled back to the massive rock that served as the Alpha's throne during tribal meetings, or as the Thronnos Rokke called their leader, Ulfric. The immense stone towered over the much smaller ring of stones that surrounded the throne. It's armrests were well worn from age and use, as was the seat. The stone had been smoothed from years of use. "Athena, how long with this last? Have you any idea? For you mentioned that running is freedom, and for the wolf, it truly is. I would love to run with you, while we are bonded so closely, to see as you see as we run free through the forest." Once she shifted, I would be able to take the form of a wolf very similar to hers, and together, we could own the forest as only wolves can.

When she spoke about feeling the Munin, I was more than delighted at the prospect, they continued to swirl around us, if you looked close enough you could just make it out. It was warm, alive with magick as it carried on descending around our frames. "To feel it, it means they too accept you. You feel it just as strongly as I do." I smiled, glad to know they approved when a warmth feeling stole through out my stomach, limbs heating up in the delicious warmth coating nerves, bones, sinew. If they were not approved, I doubted that the magick could be felt like this, so raw and powerful, without reservation. As if we were coated, alive with magick coursing along our skins, coating our very souls. Okay, so that was true, but never this intense. It was like being around the Alpha, his magicks were the strongest, since he was leading us and all. More than that was a strong sense of kinship, and protectiveness over the other creature I was sharing sight with.
Grinning wide, I laughed, such a sweet sound melody alongside Angelina's, sharing her mind that was akin to my own, careful not to delve too deep for there were things that were meant to be kept by the person. Of course, harming her was not allowed, which relaxed me knowing it worked vice versa, content to watch the animals with joy and peace. If I could share this moment with anyone, I was glad it was the shifter beside me. Scratching the mountain lions belly, hearing the deep purring from his chest, the feline smile upon his features, I smiled back, fur as soft as silk barely touching my own skin. From the simple contact, I knew he was a proud mountain lion, with offspring deep within the world, fighting hunters who got too close to hurting him. A large scar upon his neck, across his shoulder was made by a knife, and a deep pang emanated from seeing such a wound. "A fierce warrior." I cooed, getting another flash of the feline smile along his jawline.
The blue jay began chattering in its own language within my ears, I nuzzled against its soft feathers in response, an elegant calling jutted from its beak. Rabbits came hopping carefully, stopping next to the mountain lion without any fear, predator and prey not trying to kill and run from each other but enjoying their presence in almost perfect harmony. Each animal had their own little tale, speaking in purrs, tweets, low growls that were not served as a threat. I spoke back, trying to talk in their language which greeted me with a barrage of sounds, each obviously enjoyed that I was at least trying. Reds, blues, greens, all melded together to create a wash of gorgeous colorings, so alive! It was like I never had seen the world before, that I was a newborn seeing the world and all its glory for the first time. I missed this, and knowing I would lose it made me respect what I had and the time I would spent watching and enjoying what I could. I may lose this, but never the memories. That was worth every bit as precious.
"With this magick? I'm not sure. I know that if we break the ritual, it'll end. I assume we have a while left." A run would seem just perfect, gazing upon Angelina's face I could see her, her stunning beauty, her strength, her deep love and kindness for things close to her, such as her daughter, and the animals in the world. Her daughter being the most precious thing in the world to her, they both shared something, understanding. I knew all that from the share and the watching, not digging in any deeper for that was her own privacy. "Yes, yes we can run!" I let her go, the blue jay flapping its wings so I could shift back towards the wolf, not losing my sight in the process. The magick that helped, was strong enough to last a little longer yet, I thanked it for this special moment. The blue jay landed back upon my shoulder, safe from being eaten, as I looked up at Angelina through my own wolf eyes. "You have my permission to turn into a wolf using whatever magick that you have." She would look similar, identical to me. Of course she had that permission. Just watching, sent strange sensations through my system, unsure on what they were.
